What’s BA like to BAH?

I’ve got friends in BAH who I’m hoping to go out and visit. With BA I’m getting flights in Y around £600 mark. And going Ex-AMS it’s still over £2k for J.

Has anyone got any experience of this route or any good J deals on it?

I dont need to stick to BA, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also what is BA’s service like on it?

Do you have flexibility on dates? What period are you looking at? BA is usually around the £440 mark I think for BAH in Y.

I generally use Gulf Air if going to Bahrain. Normally +/- £450 economy if booked a couple of months out and £2200 in business.

For business class, @cgtechuk 's deal is the best you'll find I think. £2k for BA is about right - and even then best deal is probably ex-AMS, so you have to position.

Egypt Air ex-AMS is two 737 short haul flights both in business class for £1.4k.

Well EDI-LHR-MXP-LHR-DXB-BAH sounds like a test of endurance really. Although I guess Easyjet from EDI would reduce it to 4 flights....

I do this route quite often WT and WT+, can be reasonable, £400 -£600 on BA, but its normally an older 777 with poor IFE. CW always appears high in comparison. If it was not for Avios and TP,s Id use GF as the timings are better.
GF also fly from CDG and FRA, which may be an option from EDI.

For economy, you should be able to pick up BA for £435 from LHR and use a LCC to get to and from LHR?

As BA Silver you would get 4600 avios for this trip so you could even use that to pay for one of the flights to LHR

I was posted there for some time. I used to upgrade my wife to fly from WTP+ to CW for £600ish plus about 40K airmiles.

Its a good route but to be honest I then found it possible to do BAH-DOH for QR (At the time) or DXB then got a QF via Emirates flight in J for not much and plenty of tier points at good times for returning.
