As far as we were able to understand, it's totally doable.... no fees... but stopping in LHR will cause an-extra cost in terms of taxes recalculation.

Clearly BA are aware, the fare didn't pull itself after a few hours
Bear in mind if BA decide to cancel they will cancel tickets whether you have contact with them or not.

BA don't have form for this, but other airlines certainly have cancelled tickets not long before departure, and some even after the outbound has been flown stranding people downroute when they try to check-in for the return journey.

This afternoon it will be 7 days from the time of booking, my plan is to call CS and ask if everything is OK with the booking. If so then I'll go ahead and make the non-ref arrangements around it, positioning flights and hotels.
I couldn't argue with BA cancelling the flight if it was an error fare, but in a reasonable amount of time - and if the booking is still showing as confirmed after a week and CS don't tell me otherwise that sounds like acceptance and consideration.

Why on earth would you call the airline? If it shows as confirmed and you have a ticket number that should be all you need to know and quite frankly will be all that CS will tell you as well. Asking them Was this a mistake? That is asking for trouble
What do you expect them to say? Anything CS say cant be held as golden either. This is why I hate deals getting posted on FT as it ends up with pages of what if's and legal this, Just sit back and relax :-)

At best it will give you false comfort, as there is nothing stopping BA cancelling it after you call in

Looking at posts in this thread, someone should be attempting to fly it next week. Why not wait and see what happens?
My departure is late November, but I'm sure there are others with earlier dates.

I noted a few days back; I get not to book non refundable accom etc - but surely a flight (on BA) cash to position wouldn't be challenged for a refund if they cancelled their other flight - over a week on?

My easiest solution to that would be book a BA holiday with the flights to position and include a 1 night or whatever for hotel, Put £150 as deposit then that limits your exposure and also means the worse you can lose is £150
