Reduced Tier Points on LOW fares

Just tried to book a Low fare in First (not a flexible ticket ) to USA from LHR - but the booking process indicated that LOW fares means reduced Tier Points.
How do I find out what the reduction is from the normal 210 Tier Points (one way)?

Are you sure it was reduced Tier Points and not just reduced Avios ?

A class tickets earn Avios equal to miles flown * 2.5
F class tickets earn Avios equal to miles flown * 3

I don't know of any fares that will earn you reduced TP's (other than well, Avios redemption tickets and industry discounted tickets that will earn you none).

In First, Club, and Premium Economy, you get the same TPs for all fares. It is only for low economy class fares that TPs are reduced. For avios, there are more nuances.

It applies to economy tickets. In economy, selling classes:

Y, B, H: 100% TPs
K, L, M, N, S, V: 50% TPs
Q, O, G: 25% TPs

So a LHR-JFK trip could earn 70, 35 or a measly 20 (at least they rounded up!)

In all classes above economy, the TPs are the same for flex vs low, but as you note the Avios changes.

Yeah, it's just rubbish wording on the part of the website. Use the BA Avios Calculator: https://www.britishairways.com/travel/flight-calculator

It will confirm what orbitmic has said, e.g. for a Gold member:

That only gives reduced tier points in economy as others have said. It is just the standard booking engine. Rewards will be as indicated in the executive club information on tier points and Avios.

Thanks for all the contributions - just completed the booking and it confirmed 210 points on the lowest Fare.
As BertieBadger says - rubbish wording on the web site

I fear you may not have experienced the last of the rubbish.

Of course, given the direction other programmes are going in (not least VS), one has to question how long it will remain the case that discounted premium cabins will continue to earn full TPs...

At least there are still TPs - on Lufthansa, you often get booked into "P" in business class, which gives 0 status/award miles on a number of *A carriers (including A3 and TK).
