OT: Cheapest US airports from LHR at short notice

Apologies for the off-topic post, but I'm hoping you seasoned travellers will know the tips.....

I need to fly to SEA on 20th. Flights with all reputable airlines in J are eyewateringly expensive due to the short notice, and since it would be my 84th flight of 2018 I'm really not keen to be going in cattle class. However I am happy to hop via another US/CA airport along the way.

I've tried LAX, YVR, SFO, ORD....all are silly money.

Does anyone have any advice on a cheaper routing? Ideally via a OW airline for the all-important TPs.

Many thanks

Jim

Is there a return sector here? If so, when? Any date flexibility?

You can type "North America" into google flight, limit to October, limit to Business, limit to Oneworld and it will show a map for you - not sure if this helps that much, but it might give you some clues!

Or if you're prepared to ex-EU it, Ł2,099 using Virgin starting in DUB. (Plus LON-DUB flights and possibly a hotel in DUB).

On BA Website ... you can pick up Business class flight and hotel from 20/10 to 26/10 for about €3400 ... Starting and returning to Dublin (although return is routing you via London, so you could skip last leg.

Does it have to be LHR & full-J lie flat?

If not, Air Transat can fly you LGW-YVR in "Club Class" for ~$1700 CAD return.

They won't interline to SEA though, so you'll need a separate ticket for that leg, or a rental car.

You could also look at Icelandair - But again, not lie-flat.

DUB sounded possible, but I can;t get there in time from EDI, and I'm in London Tue to Thu so don;t really want to fly back out on Fri.

Never mind, I think I'll have to skip it this time. It's to attend a workshop, but we're hoping additional dates will be announced.

Big thanks to everyone for their lateral thinking.
