CE Kids Meals

Travelling BA662 LHR to LCA with our children in CE. Have ordered kids meals. What should we expect for them? Thanks

Hello CaithnessTravel and welcome to Flyertalk and the BA Board, a very nice username there!

I don't believe there are any CE 'kids meals' as such but standard children's meals and I can't see a lot of information on ba.com.

However I am sure someone with more knowledge than me will be along to comment on it and perhaps provide more information.

When I used to travel with Jnr P, who is a young man now, it was usually something like sausages, mash and peas, chicken nuggets etc but my memory is a bit faded there as it was over 15 years ago!

In the meantime welcome onboard!

.

Thanks Peter01. My memory is that in the past I saw kids in CE being served chicken nuggets or like but do not know if it was just the normal kids meal brought up front. Just trying to decide if we need to bring a picnic for them!

In answer to your questions, I did a number of CE flights this summer. The meal each time was essentially a ham and cheese plate as a starter, followed by chicken nuggets (a bit weird) with mash and pees, followed by a chocolate dessert. All relatively plain. Also worth noting that they stock fruit shoots on the trolley.

I think that the only kids meal they do in CE or CW is chicken nuggets

Is this available for order for adults? Looks more edible than the CE meals I've received!

Just checked my CE booking to LCA on 662 too. I can very much choose a special Child meal if I want and so can my father. Very much possible!

Yes. You absolutely can! It’s probably more edible than some of the other stuff too!

Yes, anybody can order a kids meal. Personally, the nuggets were rather dry but the coating somewhat mushy.

This was pre-new dining options so some of it may well have changed. On morning/breakfast flights the kids meal is a cheese omelette with beans.

Hope you have more luck than we did. I pre ordered kids meal for my daughter on our evening flight to SIN. Meals turned up and my daughter was passed a tray with cereal and fruit. We passed it back saying they’d mistakenly given us breakfast. Was told by a pretty surly crew member that this was correct. We questioned but were assured. Anyway my daughter wasn’t that bothered snd ate it (my kids eat cereal 24x7 anyway). 30 mins later they turn up with another tray saying yes you were right we’ve found your sausage and mash. Pretty poor...

Would the chicken nuggets be served in CE even on a short flight?
