There are plenty of professional photos of the First lounge now on the BA Media Centre website; go to Images and order the photos by ‘What’s New’.

How easy is it to replace the empty bottles of wine? I could see that there are empty bottles of wine for long periods of time if staff aren’t attentive enough to replace the empties?

BA has very kindly granted me permission to post their official photographs of the refurbished lounge. These images are credited to Stuart Bailey.

So it’s my first time in the JFK Flounge since it reopened last week. I have had a nosy in the ‘boutique dining’ area which is really well lit.

The one thing the new lounge concept is missing is some really nice art. A dash of personality would lift everything just that bit.

The observant amongst you may have noticed that the small table visible in the second professional photo in Prospero's post (in the entrance hall) is the last surviving remnant of the original First lounge concept introduced in the early 2000s.

Boutique dining

Asian puds

Asian salad

I chose prawn dumplings served with crunchy veggies in broth.
OK, the first room in Boutique Dining is Asian themed.

If you go through the Asian themed area there is a second room with a regular buffet.

Thanks for the photos of some areas we hadn't seen before MrsW ^

The second set of dining area photos appears to be the refurbished Club World Pre-Flight Supper room, which presumably will end up only being accessible from the Club lounge. I would imagine Boutique Dining will be what's offered to Gold passengers in Club World using the First lounge.

Not a huge fan of the taps in the washrooms being hand-operated as opposed to automatic.

Are you able to get some photos of the entrance to the lounge from the escalators?

Some photos of the areas under refurbishment in the Club lounge would be interesting to see too to work out which parts are currently closed.

Club lounge pre flight dining signs, somewhat redundant...

Next doors plse

View from the escalator
I’ve just had my foot rub with the lovely Joe in the Elemis Spa. Club Lounge is as it always was with the exception of pre flight dining which is closed.

The apparent lack of seats looks to be a huge problem to me...

Edit: other pictures suggest there might be enough actually.

For those flying ANA first class who have traditionally used the BA First lounge, do they have access to the dining room/pre flight dining?

Or do they restrict to those flying club world only? How do they enforce this? Via checking of boarding pases in the dining area?
