I’ve always had upgrades as a gold in T4Hilton, staying though only a handful of times last year. However in all the Hilton’s that I’ve stayed, this is the worst as far as food is concerned in a lounge. There’s a few good places to eat within the Heathrow free travel zone, but if you did want to get back and expect the lounge to serve alcoholic drinks much later in the evening, you’d be wrong. However, breakfast in the main restaurant is veery good to excellent. It’s all worth it considering the continued points bonuses throughout the year.

AY1332 scheduled arrival hel at 15:15 and Ba799 departure at 17:00
However, according the flight history AY1332 always delayed about 15-30mins.

I'm pretty sure at check-in last month they told me the AY lounge was fine for BA's finest outside peak hours.

Would this be on one ticket or separate bookings? If separate bookings then you are aware there would be no protection so if you arrive late and miss the BA flight there would be no obligation for AY or BA to rebook you?

Regardless connecting at HEL is very easy and as you are doing a non-schengen to non-schengen connection you juts get off one plane and walk to the nearby gate for the other. No security or immigration to do so you could still make it even if you stepped off the AY flight at 1640.

Regarding your last sentence, I doubt it. Last weekend when I boarded the BA flight they had a sign saying that the gate closes 20 minutes before departure. Given that most of the time it is a bus gate this would probably not work.

I've never had to present my card at that lounge, your status is on your boarding pass and is sufficient.

This weekend's flights are looking pretty busy in CE: 9 rows of CE on BA0794 on Saturday and 12 rows on BA0799 on Sunday. I hope the service isn't impacted too much.

I am just back from a couple of HEL flights. All were full. CE were 5-9 rows and service was quite good. It is annoying that BA is reducing service. I guess I‘ll be flying AY in the future instead, even though it is more expensive.

And yet I was asked for the card. Electronic card in the app was accepted as I don't carry physical card with me.

Yesterday's (Saturday 23/02) BA0794 LHR-HEL had 13 no-shows in CE, according to the CSM, resulting in just 23 passengers in 12 rows. It was probably the first time in ages that everyone in a BA club cabin got their first choice of main course.

Turned away very politely from the Finnair lounge today, as expected. The Almost@Home lounge is a very poor alternative.

Regarding first choice, not so last week. 6 rows and 24 pax in CE. Us in 1DF with special meals, gentleman in 1C got his first choice, so did the one in 1A (different meal than 1C.). Gentleman in 2D was served next and and had same meal as the one in 1C. 2F wanted the same too, and they were out of the chicken. so they effectively loaded 2 chicken meals for 22 pax, assuming no one else had a special meal.

Ba794 and Ba799 meal options?

After reading the earlier comments on meals can anyone shed any light on what the meal choices will be on the above flights? I’m going out on the 9th and back on the 10th March.

I ask as I’ve just flown back from BCN and the CE meals were chicken salad or roasted vegetables with cous cous, so a meat and a vegetarian option, but both had a beef starter, it seemed rather strange.
Many thanks

you will have a "band 3 rest of the day meal" on BA794/799. Have a look at the CE catering thread, there are lots of photos linked to in the wiki for this so it will give you an idea of what to expect - basically you will have two hot meal choices or you can choose the main course cold salad.
