I’ve always had upgrades as a gold in T4Hilton, staying though only a handful of times last year. However in all the Hilton’s that I’ve stayed, this is the worst as far as food is concerned in a lounge. There’s a few good places to eat within the Heathrow free travel zone, but if you did want to get back and expect the lounge to serve alcoholic drinks much later in the evening, you’d be wrong. However, breakfast in the main restaurant is veery good to excellent. It’s all worth it considering the continued points bonuses throughout the year.

I'm pretty sure at check-in last month they told me the AY lounge was fine for BA's finest outside peak hours.

Regardless connecting at HEL is very easy and as you are doing a non-schengen to non-schengen connection you juts get off one plane and walk to the nearby gate for the other. No security or immigration to do so you could still make it even if you stepped off the AY flight at 1640.

Would this be on one ticket or separate bookings? If separate bookings then you are aware there would be no protection so if you arrive late and miss the BA flight there would be no obligation for AY or BA to rebook you?

I am just back from a couple of HEL flights. All were full. CE were 5-9 rows and service was quite good. It is annoying that BA is reducing service. I guess I‘ll be flying AY in the future instead, even though it is more expensive.

Yesterday's (Saturday 23/02) BA0794 LHR-HEL had 13 no-shows in CE, according to the CSM, resulting in just 23 passengers in 12 rows. It was probably the first time in ages that everyone in a BA club cabin got their first choice of main course.
Turned away very politely from the Finnair lounge today, as expected. The Almost@Home lounge is a very poor alternative.

Ba794 and Ba799 meal options?
After reading the earlier comments on meals can anyone shed any light on what the meal choices will be on the above flights? I’m going out on the 9th and back on the 10th March.
I ask as I’ve just flown back from BCN and the CE meals were chicken salad or roasted vegetables with cous cous, so a meat and a vegetarian option, but both had a beef starter, it seemed rather strange.
Many thanks
