Many dates showing next year. Sat & Sun seem to be where most of them are. My Avios balance is quite healthy so I just offset the fare price with about 5k Avios and there they are, 55 day trip to London. Leaving HEL 7:45 on the BA795 and returning 18:40 BA798. I get 3k Avios back as GC holder at the moment.
I have a spare 100,000 Avios at the moment so will definitely look at this option.
Thank you for the heads up

As you are over the thresholds of +90 posts and +90 days of FT membership, you can edit wikis yourself. It's an easy-peasy thing, actually.
1. Click on "Edit Wiki" blue button in the lower right corner
2. Enter dates/flights and FThandle(s) , or +1 (or more)
3. Click on blue button "Save changes"
Voila! All done now.

Silver will be here in November after my CE return leg to EDI on the 21st, then I fly EDI > MCO via LGW on the 23rd of NOV so will make full use of the Silver benefits. Gonna go for gold Next TP Year. I actually Joined BAEC last November but didn't start flying until May this year so TP year ends in NOV happy with Silver in 6 months.

I can't edit the Wiki as yet so if someone could be so kind as to do it for me, I am on
23/3 BA1375/BA0798 MAN-LHR-HEL
24/3 BA0799/BA1376 HEL-LHR-MAN
I have done HEL twice before, once staying in the airport as I was last flight in first flight out, (pre flyertalk so I didnt know about the pods, and just sat with the drunks in the airside cafe until it closed) last time I ventured into town and staying at the Scandic Marina which I will probably book again dependent on other's recommendations.

If you post your flights, someone will help you with entering the details into the wiki. To edit the wiki, per FT rules, you need 90+ days of membership and 90+ posts under your belt. So, I'm sorry to say I can't show you the secret handshake yet.

I'm only 6 posts away from Wiki-editing rights after this post, so in the meantime:
18/01: BA794 (already there, just missing the flight number)
19/01: BA795, followed by BA438 to AMS
20/01: BA423, BA794, BA799 (B2B for the last one, long day...)
For those on that weekend I'm in 2A or 2F for all 6 flights.
400TPs for 630GBP, not a bad return ex-LON...

Im not doing this HEL run but have just spent last week in Helsinki on a business trip. I find Helsinki to be a chaotic airport and personally wouldnt want to spend the night in a pod when the Scandic airport hotel is 5 minutes walk from the terminal. I attended a meeting at this Scandic and it looked okay, no idea what the room rate was though.
I stayed in the Scandic Marina which is a converted warehouse about 20 minutes walk from the central station in Helsinki city centre or you can get a number 4 tram from Lasipalatsi about 100 metres from the station.
The Scandic was ok, Ive stayed in better and Im sure you could find better yourselves but it was comfortable and convenient. The train from the airport is takes about 30 and costs 5 for a one way trip, they are frequent and punctual and never had many people on them when Intravelled.

Personally I don't find great value in spending 110 eur* for less than 6 hrs of sleep, so I welcome the 35/40 eur Pod alternative option
By the way, I don't find HEL so chaotic...
*Scandic example rate on 17/18 Nov (non refundable rate)

I wasnt going to bother renewing gold since I was going to fall about 400tp short, now I'm going to be a lot closer I'm kinda tempted. Are these still bookable at sensible fares?
