Dixons Travel - T5

Anyone know if they sell more phones than they advertise on their website? Or is their offering online all that they sell?

Looking for a Huawei. Thanks.

I find it is generally cheaper to buy on the high street.

My observations, and experience in the case of my most recent phone, is that Dixons Travel are a little cheaper than (reputable) Amazon sellers or high street for SIM free latest or penultimate phones from the major manufacturers. Note you can return (within their return policy) within a generous time (30 days if I remember correctly) to any Currys or any Dixons Travel, which is quite handy if you change your mind. In my case it took a bit of work by the staff at my local Currys to make the till accept a return, but they happily took back an (overpriced, uncomfortable) phone cover while I kept the phone.

+1 for Dixons. I bought Bose headphones at a cheaper price than Amazon and got LHR reward points.

If they do sell what you want make sure you haggle, twice now i have had them give a better price than that online or better ,first was last year in T3 mac book pro with the cd thing you need for it got the guy down to a price that basically meant the cd thing was free. next time i went to buy some headphones and saw them online a lot cheaper i showed them the picture and they matched and then took another £5 off..

They were pretty good for a Surface Go - £10 cheaper than Amazon for the device, but £25 and £10 cheaper on the keyboard and pen respectively.

(Especially since I was travelling domestically, so no VAT advantage.)

they haggle in T5 Dixons? wow - never knew that was possible.

considering an apple watch there next week, as their prices are cheaper than anywhere else.

Not much cheaper (pre any haggling, which Iíve never tried there either). I was looking at Apple Watch 4 there earlier this week and they were £10 cheaper than John Lewis. Iíve had reasonable deals on iPhones in the past at LHR.

Surely it's better to buy from JL and claim the VAT back at the airport , should get about 15% net refunded.

While we are on this subject, and I know it's a long shot but is there any way to buy/collect from T5 dixons on arrival?

I want a new phone, I have ~£300 of heathrow rewards vouchers to spend but my next trip is an open jaw LGW-MAD-LHR so I'll only be passing through T5 on arrival.

Do the prices vary if you are flying to the EU as opposed to outside?

I believe they do at Rolex - so I assume the same is true of Dixons - but also aware that assume just makes an as s out of u and me

Pre-order it on the website and you'll get an extra 100 bonus points (or 150 if you are in the premier tier for LHR Rewards).
