Ergh... I've seen better...
Previous silver was quite nice. This one seems from a piece of tapestry. Gold was plain, this version is plain ugly. Bronze is "meh".

Who approved these designs?

We don’t know if these are the new card designs that will be released to the Membership.

Of course
I probably should have written something like "Who would approve these designs?".
And I don't mean (only) someone at BA, but at the design agency as well.

True, moreover, the gold card doesn't seem to be compatible with the recent thread where GL and CCR are included on the card - needs a plain top right corner.

Looks like an old ad to me? Possibly something grabbed during the hack?

Does it not concern you that someone may try to use the cards?

So you are confirming that there are new card designs to be released to the membership?

Or commit a serious crime / throw themselves off a ferry whilst in possession of the card.
It is explainable yes, but I'd rather not go through it for a tenner!

Why on earth would you think I am in a position to confirm or deny anything BA may or may not be intending to do?

You are both very polite. It looks like the roof of an abandoned warehouse in East London to me.

Besides the hideous design there's two issues with the cards:
a) it doesn't say British Airways anywhere on the front. At remote stations (and QR@DOH) I had agents trying to enter my BAEC number as EC12345678 or GL12345678 (due to the GL crest). I'd love to see a BA remark somewhere on the card.
b) weren't we supposed to get GfL, GGLfL and CCR identifiers on the cards? Putting something like a GL crest on top of the pattern would render the logos unusable.

You can say what you want about Alex Cruz but I am pretty sure that - if somebody dared to show him these (which are apparently from August based on the EXIF information) - he would have them changed.

Cards have always got worse as you progress. The current blue card is the best of the bunch in my opinion.
