? MAN-BLL o/w should be band 1 @ 4.000 Avios (off-peak)/4.500 Avios (peak)

There are additional price points now on short haul, one of which is a much higher level of avios with only £1/50p cash component. If you click through to the quote page you will see a number of price points, one of which will more or less match up with the old band pricing.

8500 Avios + £ 0.50
6750 Avios + £ 10.50
5000 Avios + £ 15.50
4000 Avios + £ 20.50
2950 Avios + £ 35.50
2200 Avios + £ 45.50

OK - who wants to pay 8,500 Avios when one can pay 4,000 Avios + GBP 20.50 ? Bad deal IMO.

I got caught up in these new Avios pricing of BA short haul flights during the recent 50% off Avios sale, where I ended up with the CPH-LHR return tag-on for 12,750 Avios + tax (off-peak, 25% discount) where I was expecting 6,000 Avios + tax

It is a huge devaluation that BA has added a fare/tax component in order to keep the original Avios pricing for BA short haul flights

Much rather pay 4000 Avios + £ 20.50 (or even go for 2200 Avios + £ 45.50) for that flight. Thanks for the info. No urgency booking the flights, Sun Air isn't flying to MAN and LCY until April 2021.

Yes unfortunately when pricing up connecting itineraries it now does seem to add in the shorthaul at the highest avios price with no ability to choose the normal band price

Indeed, that was the issue - and left me with a sour taste in my mouth after completing the CPH-LHR-MEX Avios ticket.

Was meant to be flying SunAir to Billund next week, but it got cancelled :-(. Did a tour of the Billund base a year ago - great times:

However, I've booked a trip for April :-). Two of the party are flying back to LHR, and it cost £18.70 each!

Here's a trip report of happier times and a trip to Legoland.....
London to Billund - with Lego "Inside Tour" in the middle.

Yeah, I checked BLL - LHR BA fares recently and I have never seen lower fares this low before Certainly no reason to use Avios

How did you manage to get the tour? Family can go see Legos while I go see some planes!
