My OH has seen the actual photos (and the mock-ups should be coming up in CRC) and she's mildly OK with it. Her biggest gripes are that the women's designs are, in her opinion, a bit 1960s-looking and a bit too 'manly' in some of the details, but she likes the blue blouse for managers. She's hearing that 'older' crews are outraged at the idea of having to wear a collared shirt though.

Looks fine. Functional. They're primarily on board for our safety and not to stride around as fashion models. A bit more blue would've been nice though.

Thanks, CWS.
Looks much better in the video than the initial photos (unsurprisingly) and I see quite a range of different 'base' uniforms.
Some of the shift-dress-type variations remind me a bit of the AA uniforms.

Anyway, change is the only constant I suppose!

Looks very smart, I just hope they source a decent shirt supplier as some of the current ones being worn look very poor quality and seem to turn see through after a few washes

It just looks like they bought a stock of used DL early 2000s uniforms to be honest. How bland.

The red highlights look like a cheap imitation of the (much nicer) AF equivalent.

5 years to come up with? Unless it is merely that the BA file was the "good grief, I still need to work on that BA stuff" file in the Boateng office...

Its the staff who have to wear them so its really their opinion that counts.

After all the ridiculous hat politics introduced by BA in 2010 I for one will be glad to see the back of them. I dare say the London Underground cap for us pointy end lot will doubtless become yet another day bed for the cat. Cant see many of them being sported initially, but in the flesh it might appear better than on press.

I remain, as ever, skeptical.

The design was completed years ago. It's just taken a while to roll it out.

The 1500 who wore and tested them, or the others who have seen the same pics as us?

My honest opinion - looks awful. Will be interested to see what it looks like in the flesh. Just doesnt feel sharp. The cravat thing hanging out on the womens uniform just looks tatty to me.

Also, is BA requiring all staff to align with their birth gender or will they be able to choose which uniform they would prefer to wear (like Virgin)?

PS will miss the hats! That was a touch of class
