In true BA fashion, if the Press team are planning to do anything to mark the moment - after the disastrous launch back in January - I'm sure the tabloids will also be jumping on the other BA news of a certain A380 Pilot off to Johannesburg. They certainly don't make it easy for them!

update: Had a nice discussion with the crew on BA193 - who also had the new uniform - and the crew I spoke to (in First) was not blown by the new uniform. In fact she mentioned that while she passed security, they even commented that it was a downgrade
I gave her my view - which was not the best and she agreed too.
The only good mentioned was that the material itself was much better and comfortable and light. However she indicated it was not as elegant as ITA Airways or Iberia....
She mentioned that she will shoot an email to her supervisor/team lead

Cheers!

Just asked an air steward and air stewardess, in Club Europe, and they said they were pleased. Both preferred the material. As above, lighter and more comfortable to work in.

The offending apron, notice even if you are a normal size it looks like you have breasts.

Glad I don’t have a scarf like that. Imagine ironing all those pleats!

The colour and style of the scarf reminds me of a charter airline outfit from the 80/90s.

Was nice to see the crew of yesterday’s last flight form JFK all signed each others scarfs as a momento of the last day in that uniform

Nice memento! So how do we now identify a CSD/IFM/IFL or whatever? Do they now have silver scarves?
