Avis bargain!
Just spoken to BA about upgrading my BA fly drive car.
i had a Group Z car booked from MCO end November for two weeks.
booked in January.
hearing about BA sales, I had a quick look at what fly drive would cost today (2ad 1x16 year old in business )
well, the total cost had virtually doubled from Ł5,700 to over Ł11,000, but I noticed that the difference between group z and group L was around Ł60, so I thought I would ring BA and see what the cost of an upgrade would be.
well, flaberghasted. Operator said “Avis have a sale on now, so the upgrade cost would be er...Ł200 less”
so booked, upgraded car and overall costs Ł200 less. Chuffed

We’ve had this too - similar awkward moment from the call centre as they process your upgrade and then say they owe you money. Always worth watching Avis promotions as well as BA (25% off anything booked now and driven by mid-Dec, I think).
