but maybe Porky can clarify?

If an external attack targeting DNS lookup can break your internal business systems, you're doing it wrong.

From BA Twitter feed: "We are working to resolve a technical issue with some of our internal systems, including our call centres. Flights are continuing to operate and customers are able to check in as normal."

Response to BA Twitter feed from disgruntled passenger "Not sure who you are trying to convince. Flights are not operating as normal".

The best response is from an IT company though "Has your IT been hacked again? Call us if you need some help..."

From a HQ point of view we started losing internet from around 1300; from 14:00 we completely lost the wi-fi connectivity, and LAN. IT had a message on the fault report line saying that they were experiencing issues and were working on a fix, no ETA. Operational SMS sent about 30' ago says that operational systems are back online.

As to what's causing it, don't know. I've let my team go home and I'll pop down to T5 to see if anyone needs help, but one of the ladies in the team who's on call hasn't been summoned... Yet.

all this is my own opinion & experience, not BA's.

The LHR departure board available from their website suggests that only 4 BA flights scheduled to depart from T5 after 14.15 have departed (not sure how reliable that data source is but a growing number of unhappy tweets)....

No, you are doing it wrong there.

Alex, have you tried switching it off waiting 60 seconds and then back on again?

:-)

Over the tannoy in arrivals. We are experiencing delays in baggage delivery due to 'operational constriants'... Not sure I'd put it that way
