Ok I am an idiot. Left my work phone on the plane, the day before going away for 10 days where I desperately need the VPN access. Rushing back to LCY but I assume I'll be out of luck arriving back there 1 hour after landing?

Good luck! It is not unusual for those to be brought to lost and found if discovered in the cleaning process or whilst disembarking (I myself told the crew last week about somebody who had lost their driver's license on their seat!!!) fingers crossed!

As a data point, I once missed a positioning flight to DUB (on FR!) from MAN at the start of an ex-EU to the USA. Arriving at the BA desk, deeply hungover, an agent was able to lop off the DUB-LHR sector and transplant a MAN-LHR sector in its place, albeit in domestic business at a cost of Ł200. The rest of the ticket held together, despite the agents concerns that it might later autocancel.
My recommendation: Never allow yourself to end up in this situation but, failing that, get yourself to any BA desk at any airport as soon as you can.
