Tier Points on AVIOS flights....

Tier Points on AVIOS flights....
I’m sorry if I am sounding like a Newby (I have been around here for a long while as you will see from my posts) but I have never actually used AVIOS to book a BA flight before always using cash. I will find myself 70 points short of Silver this year and see a quick run down to London and back on the same day is only 15,500 AVIOS + Ł50. Please don’t shout at me......but do I get Tier Points? My reading of the guide says “reward flights” don’t qualify.
