EDI - LCY 4 Mar 19

Prawn and mushroom salad, with a soy dressing. I think this meal has been shared already upthread, but the starter has now given way to a very nice chocolate dessert.

EDI is in a band which gets a Cold Meal all day after breakfast - so comes with a dessert. If it was part of a Cold Lunch it would have a starter and a scone, and as part of a Cold Dinner it would have a starter and a dessert.

Where waffles are loaded in the breakfast bakery basket, maple syrup is currently replacing the golden syrup.

You're very welcome - there's not an awful lot of info out there about CityFlyer and some of the timings, offerings etc are not exactly intuitive so I'm happy to spread the word.

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm what band the new Split (SPU) route will fall under? Hoping that complimentary G&Ts last until September!

Cheers.

Nothing confirmed as yet but based on distance I would guess band 3.

MAN - LCY Arabic mezze (hummus, freekah salad, sweet potato felalfels, baba ganoush and mini pittas). This was absolutely delicious, only let down by the pittas which were too cold. I very nearly missed it all together as my boarding pass wrongly said gate 44 whereas the flight left from gate 144. I pointed this out as we boarded last with a few mins to spare and was told “oh it does that sometimes” (!)

LCY-AMS BA8497 Band 1 Breakfast 23 March 0800

Flight operated by WDL Charter on BAe 146
Bacon and sausage not browned and rosti rather soggy and again we lacked colour which was a shame. Later came warm toast- good effort on that.

It’s actually bubble and squeak so not meant to be crispy like a rosti.

Are the ET sandwiches a new thing or is it just for that locally catered flight? I must say I much prefer the concept of the little salads we usually get to sandwiches.

This is purely because it’s locally catered. Salads still continue for UK-catered flights.
