Are the HNMLs/AVMLs any good? The cycle 2 dinner looks a bit boring and I would prefer a curry if possible.

i haven’t encountered a hot dinner HNML or AVML since the menu change, but currently one of the crew meals is a saag aloo with rice and vegetables and these sometimes do double duty as special meals.

Unusually for LCY catering that looks very poor, since when would you have a tomato or steamed broccoli with an Indian meal?

The BACF catering always looks so much better than the mainline versions.. it is also refreshing that everything isn't bangers and mash on every flight.

Can confirm the black bean chilli is blow-your-head-off spicy!

The confit chicken thigh comes with a generous helping of vegetable risotto, and topped with tarragon butter. Very juicy!

Newrest isn't it? Like LGW pre-covid. Granted I only experienced LGW catering at that time, but the meals were consistently well presented and tasty. There were comments made onboard to that effect too.

If I were to compare the Newrest bangers & mash alongside the Do&Co one, there is no contest. Nicely seasoned mustard mash rather than that slop that Do&Co provide with some uninspiring veg and okish sausages.

Do&Co's forté seems to be stick a chocolate button on a dessert and that makes it worth raving about. Although I would suspect that's more down to what BA are paying them considering we all know what they CAN provide.

LGW Newrest, which changed in the last couple of years.
Each London airport places their own catering contract.

Thanks for the guide. Was a little disappointed to only have a small ab of crisps to BER yesterday, but the band-selection explains it all. There was a selection of soft drinks to choose from.

There should also have been a full selection of alcoholic drinks, too.
