Band 1 breakfast - night stop - rotation 2.
NCL-LHR BA1338 departing 06:05 hrs.
This seems to be a new item that hasn't had a photograph yet. This is the night stop breakfast, so the one on the smaller tray. This is mushroom omelette with rösti.

Is the fruit still cut so thinly that you can see through it?

There were two sizes of oat cake. When it was large, you only got one. When it was medium, you got two, from memory. Now you get three crackers. I find those crackers easier to use with cheese, and besides, I never really liked the sogginess the oatcakes used to take on from sitting on the cheese plate, so I am happier with the current crackers.

Yes it will be. Inbound breakfast travels on the last outbound flight from LHR, and is stored aboard the aircraft overnight in special cool boxes to ensure it is safe to eat the following morning.

Protocol question really....shortly going on a CE to Athens . Assume this is Band 4. Flight is 7.55 so will be breakfast option. Do they bring drinks (alcoholic) round that time in the morning? If so, is it the done thing to order one (or two)
Im not on business and dont need to drive at the other end. Now Im not planning on getting smashed obviously but would fancy a couple of drinks. I am convincing myself that if the meal/drinks are served an hour into a 4 hour flight plus +2hr time difference then it really is an 11.00 start, which is early lunch not "drinking at breakfast"
Will other passengers be on the tea/coffee only and will Cabin Crew look down their noses at me?
oh and finally do the Galleries lounges have booze out in the mornings ? ( that is the backstop!)

PRA - LHR Band 2 lunch today
Starter - coronation chicken
Main - choice of antipasti or goats cheese salad
Dessert - D&Co what I think was meant to be strawberry cheesecake actually crumbs on top of tasteless creamy mousse on top of strawberry syrup. The first two courses were nice as was the soft roll served with it.

Band 4 - rest of the day - rotation 2
LHR-EFL BA646 departing 11:40 hrs
The chicken dish features upthread, here is the menu, and the pasta option. The tagliarini was tastier than it looked. We also now know that the cheese is Parmesan and therefore it's not vegetarian. There were only 9 passengers on this service to EFL and just three in CE, the final flight of the year, but it was full coming back. So with 5 crew (3 of them pursers) we were well looked after.

Your pasta has more spinach than the other half’s; he only got one leaf!

I’m exclusively a leisure traveller and will usually have an alcoholic drink on breakfasts flights. I’ve never had any CC bat an eye-lid when asking for champagne etc. If anything, there is often some friendly BA style interaction about it being nice to see someone enjoying themselves.
Conscious of the current thread on CC alcohol related comments, I’ve never felt a hint of censure during these interactions.
Have a good holiday 🌞

Has anyone gathered which date of the month the club Europe menus rotate for longer flights? I have one next Monday to Malaga and was wondering if a veggie or fish option was always on the menu now (considering the menus I have seen) or to opt for a SPML

BA 696 LHR - VIE (band 2 Breakfast, 07:50 departure):
12 of 16 pax in CE. Only 2 of the pictured cold meat trays loaded that flight. Other choices were cooked English and a quiche with spinach dish that my other half had and apparently tasted very good (she was too quick and had half of it down her before I could get a snap of hers Was slightly irritated that this is the second time recently I've noticed the crew put the trolley between rows 2 and 3 and then have one crew member serve row 1 and the other serve row 4 and then serve row 2 and 3...so I just managed to nab the cold meat dish before it was gone...(there were only 4 rows of CE)...It was tasty!
BA705 VIE - LHR (band 2 dinner, 19:35 departure scheduled, 20:45 due to delay on that day): IIRC there were 5 rows of CE, roughly 2/3 full. Good crew, served front to back. I had the antipasti dish you see below and it was very tasty. I just managed to get a snap in of the wife's dish before she could get purchase...you'd think I never fed her! The salad looked good and also received good marks from her. Seems the dinner dish is the same as the lunch dish on Band 2 (from what I can read and see).
Next meal...Sunday to AMS (band 1 afternoon tea...)
Safe travels/digestion everyone!

I've asked BA via Twitter tonight if a vegetarian option is now standard as one of the options on the longer rest of the day flights in Club Europe. I think it would be beneficial to know this. The drawback of ordering a SPML is that you often used to get the same meal outbound as inbound if flying at similar times of the day, and no choice at all of course. As a part-time pescatarian (and no longer a seafood option on SPML) it's sometimes useful if fish or a veggie option is on the menu, so some choice can prevail. I'll let you know the outcome is (if there is one, and not some glib response).
