This is exactly what I thought before I flew on the A380 in F, for some reason all the pictures and videos make it look bland. However it doesn't feel like that in the flesh, it feels much warmer.

Better that than a patronising and unecessary dig

It’s a different world from 747 F in regards to space. The ‘styling’ is otherwise pretty much identical bar the windows.

There is is an argument to taking F in the nose of a 747 if you’ve not flown there before, otherwise the A380 is better in every way.

Worth changing your schedule by 3 days? No, not for me

On the point on styling, whilst the 747 cabin is undoubtedly more attractive, I would say in photos the dark 747 cabin actually looks slightly better than real life (I find it a bit 'disco' with all the blue lights), whereas the pale A380 cabin probably looks a bit better in real life and doesn't photograph well.

Styling is, in any case, quite low down my list of priorities in F and I would never take a more attractive F cabin with less space and less privacy just because it's more attractive.
I am trying to 'like' this but unable due to glitch, but interesting to hear that in real life A380 styling is more attractive than comes through in photos/youtube. For me I think that in the nose of a 747 I still have a flat bed, storage space and table and shelf and not sure I need much more space? I suppose for buddy dining it might be useful.

The basource site shows 86J 747s are used on this route so you would be very unlucky to get an old 52J machine. See: British Airways Route Tracker

Still with the B747 and enjoy
