The other half was on it yesterday. She reckons it was fine.

thebasource reports that OO-ABB ended it's lease and returned to Belgium over the weekend.

Not sure if that means a different operator will cover the route, or BA have some aircraft back online.

No just swapped to OO-ABA. Happens relatively frequently, to allow for maintenance I suppose. Didn't affect the BA schedule. One went after it got back from EWR and the other did the flight the next day.

Air Belgium are back on Cairo in the Autumn 2019 (18 Aug to 1 Nov), as reported by Head for Points this morning. Had E-Mails yesterday from BA with same messaging and options as previously. As I was originally on a 788, there is no problem with F downgrades. With a tight connection in LHR, does anyone know which door (s) will be used for boarding in CAI and LHR? Row 7 looks the favourite for 2L or row 1 for 1L.

On my last morning flight from CAI to LHR, the catering in J was dreadful so I did not have high expectations from service.

Looks like one of the AB operated BA flights from LHR-YYZ has been cancelled today and tomorrow, leaving only one direct flight.

Guessing you mean Toronto (YYZ) rather than Trail airport in BC (YZZ)?

Thanks for the heads up on that. I was downgraded from F to CW on Air Belgium on an upcoming BA93 August flight on LHR-YYZ. Checked and BA99 which was only 3 class when offered the downgrade is now 4 class so phoned up and got my flight changed to 99 and got F back . Probably not the end of this with all the equipment changes on this route and the threat of the pilot strikes
