Major strike will hit Amsterdam Schiphol September 4th
Today we got the news that the security employees on Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will Strike September 4th for 24 hours. All passengers will be hit by this, especially departing passengers. If you need to book travel to or from Schiphol it might be smart to avoid September 4th.
The security employees demand higher salary and a better work environment. If their demands ar not met before September 4, Schiphol might be completely down.

Little panic for a minute. I'm departing on the 3rd!
BTW I'm always found the security staff at AMS to be unfailingly efficient and polite even in the face of some nasty people.

I fly on the 4th, but from Brussels as that is closer to where i live.
