Friday Giggles "The Best LCC In The World"

Just finished watching this from a cheeky Aussie I subscribe to. He recently flew LHR-ATH on one of the 767's before they're all retired. His sense of humor applies equally to all airlines

very fair assessment, and funny. I still remember BA saying they won't charge rip off fees for bob unlike the LCC.

The irony being that for £8 you can get a croque monsieur, pack of pringles and a drink on EZY with the croque tasting better, imo, than anything hot and sandwich based i've tasted on a BA flight.

Yes, quite entertaining - especially the quips about cricket

BA said a lot of things just before introducing BoB - most memorably that it was in response to feedback from customers who allegedly wanted BA to charge separately for food & drink, just like the LCC’s.

His allusion to a (less-than-favourable) contrast - between a proud heritage and the current-day image - will undoubtedly strike a chord with many who were familiar with the airline in better times.

I think BA missed ( intentionally?) the part where when people said they'd prefer BOB just like the LCC's they also wanted the prices to drop in ET to be more like the LCC's with an obvious slightly higher price point for having luggage included etc. Possible wishful thinking on pax part but some selectiveness in use of customer feedback by BA as well.

Actually for £7, or £6 if ordered in advance. And only £2 extra for beer/wine.

@Ldnn1 it's been a little while since i've flown good old SleazyJet, I think Berlin in Jan was the last time, as im status chasing on BA this year but you make my point even better and i'll bare in mind for my flight with them LGW-RKV in December

Apparently as a Three customer I get free priority bag drop, free checked luggage, fast track security, boarding and reclaim - now I think about it everything I get on BA flying BC at a fraction on the price just without the lounge. Although tbf I am somewhat of a fan of the Club Lounge at LGW

@nivsy T&C's stated but important parts are outbound from UK only ( can pay for same on return), applies to Contract customers only. non transferable, 1 per contract holder( per flight) but unlimited in usage.

+1
Friends who have flown Norwegian have been pretty impressed.

That aside .... any Best in the World tag is always a big claim.

In the early days of their unprecedented global fame, John Lennon was once asked whether Ringo was “now the best drummer in the world”

l’m not sure he’s even the best drummer in the Beatles” came the laconic response.

Well the £300-600 'cash back offer' currently being offered via their Hi-Fly A380 is quite alluring if you're not that bothered about when you actually arrive

Quite a nice smooth landing, seemed to flare for a long time before just kissing the runway.
