I managed to get AA to switch me to an earlier flight when my LHR-JFK got in around 30 mins early. So I got to PHX - despite a lot of flying around to avoid the clouds around the PHX Airport.
Lyft was easy to the Hyatt - where I have a large corner room. So probably room service and a nap this evening.

You're sleeping? Isn't that what the flight home is for. That said didn't get much sleep last night due to no noise insulation and loads of sirens in DC.

On the basis of immigration at T7 JFK, I thought the last time I arrived and was escorted to the front of the queue by SS, that I would struggle this time. Imagine my disbelieve when arriving on the BA115 yesterday to a completely empty immigration hall. I even beat out a GE passenger despite also having to do secondary customs screening. I think they were bored and wanted to do a random
check.

update from the Hilton JFK:

Flight BA177 great crew great food great flight

Had a bit of a fright when walking to the gate and the Turnaround manager came up to me and said "Mr Swissbobby",
"Yes"
"There is an issue with your seat" I thought hold on this has to be a wind up today.
"Ah"
"It is ok as 3A is free so you use it"

"Phew"

On board crew were excellent, and food was great

Menu
Starters
Medley of beetroot with quinoa salad and Greek yoghurt
Warm crispy coated king prawns with Cajun mayonnaise
Aritchoke and Parmesan soup, cripy artichokes
Fresh seasonal salad

Main
Braised Welsh lamb shank, celeriac mousseline, rosemary jus
Grilled Dover sole, lemon butter, fresh asparagus and smoked tomatoes
Kashmiri-style chicken supreme, mango pilaf and broccoli saag
Handmade mozzerella ravioli, rucola, slow roasted tomatoes
Maind course salad featuring fillet of Loch Fyne salmon and cauliflower tabbouleh

Desert
Fresh raspberry and vanilla sponge with Chanitlly cream
Warm cinnamon doughnuts, crčme anglaise
Vanilla ice cream
The prawns soup and lamb were all excellent.

Landed 20 mins ahead of schedule 10 min taxi off from door 1L
Border for no GE first class too about 40 mins.

Great flight great food.

Just off the 885 and the crew must have served a load of you yesterday! She was explaining to the passenger next to me about it and how everyone saved money and got “points for gold” doing the flights

Turns out there were 4/5 runners in board - including Number 46

That would have been Elena the CSD or (I think) Alma - absolutely fantastic crew who got right into the spirit of things from the start and were a LOT of fun. Very well deserved golden tickets for both. Elena gave me one of my favourite Gold Greetings ever 'Ah, Mr Bisonrav, nice to have you with us again... slow drinker I see'. @teledude was chatting a lot to Alma and she was visibly taking mental notes.

First minor hitch of the trip. Delayed AA003 because of a sick captain who was replaced by a very pissed off sounding new one they fetched from his kid's hockey game. But enroute now with the wonderful Elizabeth in the flagship lounge looking after travellingscotsman and my connections as we speed westwards. Apparently the flights to Phoenix today have very low F and J availability. Wonder why.

possible celeb In 1A. 2K very comfortable.
