Can we get some clarification pls?

I, like many here, have tried to replicate and best I get is circa 776 and around 280-560 TP? (yes I saw your post the TP run thread) .

So tricky tho - ramps up quickly when go go above 2 stops?

Its a great idea and I'm deffo in just can't see the same?

As nufnuf77 wrote - fare rules have changed and only allow 2 transfers each way now.

yea - seen that

Not really helping tho is it?

How do folks book this at a reasonable price point?

I learned a lot by trying to find a fare and in particular by interpreting the fare rules. I did in fact find the two transfer maximum but didn't really connect it to what I was seeing happening until nufnuf77 mentioned it.

The way I worked through this was to try to find I availability on subsections, and if that worked try to put them together using the basic structure used in the TP Run thread screenshots and including explicit flight numbers. I used the "cheapest by month" tool to find dates when the fare looked cheap but I don't think that was all that helpful as it's all about segments and I availability.

I failed, because I maxed out the transfers, but it was a good learning experience. I feel it's better to try and fail yourself than try to get a recipe, on the "give someone a fish" principle. Probably the ship has sailed anyway.

The current routing is now not possible at the rate that used to be there. It's one of those things I expect to re-appear again.

For positioning I am planning to do CAI-LHR Dec 23 // BCN-LHR-YVR May 31 // MIA-LAX-HNL-LAX-JFK-LHR June 7 // BCN-LHR-CAI Jue 23 for 1900 and 1200 TPs

I have added myself as tentative for this Do. Need to find some reasonably sensible flight prices as the YVR flights have gone.

I have worked in Panama City a few times in the past and always had a good time when not stuck in the office.

This is the hotel I used: Panama Hotels | Hotel El Panama Convention Center & Casino

Not been for years but it was a comfortable 4 star hotel, with great pool and cabana rooms that open out onto the garden and pool. These rooms were great for parties, when we would buy drinks and snacks nearby and enjoy in the evening warmth etc.

The location was reasonable and there are a variety of restaurants nearby.

Taxis can take you to Casco Viejo (old town), which is well worth a visit.

Visiting the Panama Canal is also highly recommended but requires a journey out of the city. Beaches are also an option but I did not use them, as the pool was so easy.
