We are experiencing disruption to our flights...

BA have just tweeted that they are "experiencing disruption to our flights as a result of an issue with some of our IT systems....." Does anyone what the problem is?

Lo0ad system failure

i an on the0 0w0arsaw flight we have sat off stand for 3 hours waiting our load figures

Fire alarm issuecwas hourscago. Load system went down just after the fire alarm problem was resolved

I believe they are upgrading from Windows 95 to Windows 98 and something went wrong.

The current issues are mainly due to a global BA IT system outage, completely unconnected to the earlier ATC tower fire alarm activation. The latter issue resulted in only a handful of flights being delayed or diverted.

I wonder if Amadeus was the culprit as I see LH and others where having Check in Problems according to Facebook anyway

A reply to a customer on Twitter at 21:09 states their systems are back up and running but there’s an obvious backlog to deal with.

Stuck at T3 waiting for flight to Lisbon to depart. They said crew were still waiting to fly down from Manchester.

The evening INV rotation was among the victims, significant numbers of BAs passengers running up compensation claims in the lounge car on the sleeper now...

No compo given extraordinary circumstances. But maybe duty of care to cover for the night on the sleeper.

FLY outage is separate to fire alarm so you never know
