We are experiencing disruption to our flights...
BA have just tweeted that they are "experiencing disruption to our flights as a result of an issue with some of our IT systems....." Does anyone what the problem is?

I believe they are upgrading from Windows 95 to Windows 98 and something went wrong.

The current issues are mainly due to a global BA IT system outage, completely unconnected to the earlier ATC tower fire alarm activation. The latter issue resulted in only a handful of flights being delayed or diverted.

A reply to a customer on Twitter at 21:09 states their systems are back up and running but there’s an obvious backlog to deal with.
