Guess who was sat in front of me ignoring rules

This bag (a tray of some kind takeway food) was from the kind gentleman sat in front. I was in an exit row, so it's supposed to be kept clear. Not to mention that's my foot space.

But who wants to guess what kind of passenger it was? Hint: they can't claim ignorance!

Many of you will be pleased to hear that I did in fact point it out before take off, and it was stowed. Of course, once it was eaten, it went back under the seat.

What *kind* of passenger?

A pilot in uniform would be my guess...

Willie shops in Marks and Sparks so can’t be him!

thats weird, don’t people usually put things under the seat in front of them and not behind them?

yes that is the rule. But I have seen people sitting in bulkhead seat put things underneath the seat which is not right and annoying to people sitting behind them.

Selfish people put things under the seat behind them, in the space of the passenger behind, so they still have foot room.

You can get some quite surprised expressions if you use your feet to move the offending item forward again, as the miscreant feels their item re-appear at their feet.

with my long legs that’s exactly what I’d be doing! I never even considered putting something behind me, I only remember the below behind for getting your life vest!

Oh dear.

Still your thread has reminded us of the importance of immediately throwing into the trash anything abandoned under the seat in front. Top tip for a tidy plane! :-)

Maybe it was a present for you from the passenger in front? Or intended for use as a footstool?

Priceless! I think that Captain Fantastic in the row in front was sitting rather than sat, both in English and in fact.
