Worrying the fact there internal diverts are external also, it must be costing them a bit of money.
I would of thought all of the options was internal to there phone system, the fact they have any external number there is madness.

In theory you could call and speak to the company for ages at BA's expense.

I take it anyone having trouble contacting BAEC, or suffering endless hold music, should just call City Plumbing and select Option 2?

Think of it as a fine for being stupid.

Unless someone at BT has too little "cost cutting in their DNA" then it will cost them very little to place such an outbound call.

My guess is that you call BA and their phone system then forwards your call outbound to the offshore call center and someone routed that incorrectly. So instead of forwarding to some number in India for you to enjoy someone's air travel script-reading skills you got forwarded to someone who would like to supply you trade quantities of sanitation gear.

So, how many people have actually spoken to the plumbers and placed an order through the BA call centre number?

I actually need a new loo seat. I wonder if I should call BA...

I've just booked a load of flights with Pimlico Plumbers.

Must more reliable than Omega or Netflights.

Just had to come in and say this thread, flush with puns and in no way bogged down by groaners, gave me a really good chuckle.

Do carry on.
