I've just discovered that there are actually a surprisingly large number of animals employed in airports.

Whilst my favourite is the Llama bodyguard employed at PDX apparently, it appears that it's a possibility that the mice we have been seeing are actually trained explosive detectives.

.... Alternatively, and I suspect just as effective, BA could offer Silver passengers 100 Avios for every mouse caught, which could then be recycled into that perennial GC favourite, Game Slop Stew. FT could play its part by establishing mouse trapping techniques and mouse trap runs.

Having now (eventually) spotted the little rodent, I support the concept of ‘the right sort of cat’. With a basic hunting instinct fully engaged, but equally well socialised to enable it to soothe stressed passengers, it could be a win-win.
It would be nice if someone cleared up the evident mouse-droppings, though!

Mind you CCR is not the first place I would choose to search, but maybe that is the cunning thinking of those who carry explosives into an airport
