Baggage Claim form requires bank AC info

advised not to just give it out to random companies or in response to spam emails.

BA is an international company. If you accessed the form via the website then what have you really got to worry about?

Does your bank -- or another one in your area -- offer no-cost checking or savings accounts that require little or no minimum balance? If so, I suppose you could open a second bank account and provide that account's details to BA. After the BA payment comes in to the new account, either close the account, or keep it open for possible future use in similar situations.
