Please post your requests for flight delay information on BA services here.

Rules of engagement:

1. Flights should be BA operated
2. Codeshare queries are fine, but to assist the community please quote the prime BA flight number if known.
3. Non-BA flight requests are subject to deletion.

A useful other resource is the forum's guide to to EC261 compensation. The current thread (as of 2018) can be found here.

Historical British Airways flight delays - information requests

As the previous thread (here) had become clogged with more non-BA requests than BA ones, we are creating this new thread to better separate issues that are suitable for the BA forum.

This is intended to be a community resource for querying arrival times on delayed flights, most likely for potential EC261 claims.

A valuable thread in conjunction with this is the current EC261 claim advice thread, listed in the wiki.

Rules of engagement:

1. Flights should be BA operated
2. Codeshare queries are fine, but to assist the community please quote the prime BA flight number if known.
3. Non-BA flight requests are subject to deletion.

assuming you are asking about compensation for delay
EUClaim shows - Your flight had an arrival delay of less than three hours. To be entitled to compensation under EC Regulation 261/2004 you arrival delay must be three hours or more.
bottonline shows - Sorry, it looks like you can't claim Our data shows that your flight arrived less than 3 hours late.

Looking at London Heathrow & Gatwick Airports it seems it departed at 1619 which is under 2 hours late. Arrival time is the one that is critical for EC261, but I would doubt that it ended up arriving in PHX more than 3 hours late based on the departure.

My Flight Sunday 10th BA1407 at 20:05 from MAN>LHR was cancelled late on Saturday evening.

The reply I got on Friday was it was due to adverse weather, yet I'm not aware there was any at either airport in the 24 hour period before my flight. Every other MAN>LHR ran on that Sunday!

I'd like to trace if the adverse weather was on an incoming from another destination outside the UK. The 20:05 was the return leg of the cancelled LHR>MAN BA1402 @ 18:10. Yet they knew about this adverse weather on the Saturday evening (apparently) - how far back can they log a cancelled flight due to adverse weather in the total trips made by the designated plane?

The best I can do is that the flight took off at 1212 local time, so departure was likely to have been some 20-30 minutes earlier. Source: http://www.lhr-lgw.co.uk/downloads/h...016-12-lhr.zip

Is there any method of determining for a given flight what the stated reason for delay was? I'm tracking back an EC261 claim and need to find the delay reason 2 flights upstream.

For two or three days after the flight, EF will show you the detailed information available on the GDS. This is the source for codes such as AIRN or ZO which are often discussed here.

Hello,

I'm looking for flight delay information for flight:BA0175 from London Heathrow to JFK
09:35 on 30 March 2018.

Can anyone tell me what time it arrived? Is there any way to tell why the flight was delayed?

Due to the delay of this flight, we missed our connecting flight and had to wait until the next morning for another flight and we lost a days holiday.

Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks

Andrew

Are you sure you have the correct date? From what I can see, on 30 March 2018 BA175 to JFK took off at 1003 GMT or 1103 local time that day, suggesting a short delay of perhaps an hour or so. That's not inconsistent with a knock-on delay due to a misconnect, but I thought this would be worth checking at the outset.

What was the rest of your itinerary? And was the connecting flight booked on the same ticket?
