Also went through Netflights - did you get an e-ticket yet? All I have is a booking request.

I booked through Omega and got a 125- booking number immediately. All looks good in MMB too...

Now I need to do some research into Tel Aviv, and find out why I'd actually want to go there! Will it be hot for August bank holiday?

It will be pretty hot - 27 - 32 degrees celsius are the normal summer temperatures in Tel Aviv and it can be quite humid! I'd definitely recommend a day trip/overnight stay in Jerusalem also depending on how long you are there!

Thank you. All booked and I see it fine in my BA account, 140 TPs and 8,864 Avios. This needs to me at least a 'mini do' now! I depart LHR at 20.35 on January 4th and (perhaps crazily...) return on the 07:25 on the 6th.

Also booked 4-6th Jan. Same flight as you Scallywag out and the afternoon flight on the Sunday. Should be fun

Valuing Avios at 1p gives a net cash price of £103, definitely cheaper than normal but nothing to jump on - 787 Y, less than ideal flight times and horrendous security on the inbound

Combined with an Avios promo I might have been tempted - can it be done as a B2B?

Seems like I've created an impromptu do! Perhaps I will be joining. The prices are still the same this morning.

If anyone familiar with Israel could advise on the best place to stay geographically, that would be awesome. With my history of booking hotels in Japanese red light districts, I'm likely to book a room in an Airbnb on the West Bank.
