Flight delayed, me also delayed

Sorry a quick one and I know the answer is on here somewhere but I have ropey signal. My flight is delayed by an hour. Handily I知 also very late for my flight.

I値l arrive around an hour before the delayed estimated time of departure. Is this ok given I have already checked in/ hand luggage only?

Which airport/terminal? T5, probably not, where you should enter Security 35mins before scheduled departure time. This is sometimes changed for delays, but you can't rely on it.

The usual rule is that check-in will close at the original time, unless you have been told otherwise.

What were you told by BA about this?

FWIW, the inbound aircraft operating BA2602 LGW-PSA is on descent, estimated to arrive at 1929.

The current departure estimate for your flight BA2603 PSA-LGW is 2014 (which would be 24 minutes behind schedule).

Good luck!

ETA: It turns out the OP was on a different flight.

Call BA.

With a 24-minute delay, it is doubtful that they will advise anything other than the original time, but one never knows.

Congratulations on making the flight. Hopefully the captain has now told you that there are widespread delays on your route thanks to weather and strikes in MRS. So I guess you're sitting out a slot restriction.

Thunderstorm and CB activity is causing major disruption and delay to the network, with severe convection over Western and Eastern France, Central and Southern Germany, Austria, Northern Switzerland, Czech Republic, Southern Poland and the Balkans expected to continue until late evening.

Aerodromes:

EDDF (Frankfurt)
Arrivals regulated due to weather (CB activity).
High delays after the non availability period.

LCPH (Paphos)
Arrivals regulated due to to ATC capacity and staffing.
Moderate delays from early evening.

LGSR, LGSA, LGIR
Arrivals regulated due to to ATC capacity and staffing.
Moderate to high delays .

Airspace:

EDYY (Maastricht)
Several sectors regulated due to weather.
Moderate to high delays.

EDUU (Karlsruhe)
Several sectors regulated due to capacity and weather (CB activity).
High delays with Donau and Tango sectors worst affected.

LFEE (Reims)
Several sectors regulated mainly due to weather (CB activity).
Moderate to high delays.

LFRR (Brest)
Several sectors regulated due to weather (CB activity).
Moderate to high delays..

Please see separate entry for LFMM Industrial Action.
(LFMM=MRS=on strike until Monday 04:00 hrs)

Indeed he mentioned many issues. Unfortunately it was the classic wait until everyone onboard then break the bad news. So we池e sitting on tarmac for another 40 mins at least.

One question, our ETA is at least 11 (midnight in fact). Now I知 pretty sure if that really is the case, I知 not going to be landing at Heathrow due to night curfew. Does that sound about right and where do you think I might end up?

Just to hijack the thread slightly, what is tomorrow evening looking like for ATC and strikes? I'm heading for Frankfurt which looks to be at the centre of the trouble.

Hi,

Heathrow can extend the curfew in certain circumstances so I think you will be ok to land at heathrow at the moment.
Hopefully you will get an earlier slot
