Shameless self promotion there

of course if one were to look at my trip reports also linked to in my signature one might find reports for BRR, INN, and FNC

BCN - I love it when you fly down the coast past the city before turning into the airport.

Donegal (CFN) - a beautiful approach, spectacular scenery, it’s consistently at the top of best landing rankings for a reason!

can reach from Glasgow or Dublin

Had a look at the BA website and the usual "we do not fly this route".

Seems to be Ł120 or so return from GLA.

Not that it has much to do with BA, but I find the landing into St Barth a bit sporty:

Is the general experience increased by a prop plane rather than a normal jet?
Commercially, I've never flown on a prop so some of these routings could be interesting if served by such a plane.

Yes, because you’re sitting right behind Claude who relishes telling you that he’s 4 for 5 so far today!

It's good fun to fly on prop planes, or smaller types. I do actively seek these out where I can. You may have missed the Jetstream 31/32 on Sun Air now as it seems to be being withdrawn, but that's a great experience. As others have mentioned the D328 jet is a lovely machine, very fast climbing, also on Sun Air. Then a Saab 2000 LCY to IOM to complete the set (I think) in BA livery. I think you also have ATRs on Finnair via Wideroe, certainly I did one of these plus a Dash 8 on a Finnair routing last month but on Air Baltic.

You can certainly fly on a tiny Cessna on an AA ticket, but sadly not attracting TPs under the "operated by third party" rule.

Not with BA but the approach into Tivat Airport, Montenegro is quite spectacular. "With mountains rising abruptly around Tivat airport and runway 32 that ends only 50 meters from the waters of the Bay of Kotor, it is a challenging approach and landing, rated 4D by the ICAO (operational restrictions due to the surrounding high terrain)".

Agree with CWS re CMF approach to 36 via the hospital windows (Kai Tak-esque)
add my vote to nice when landing from the east and sat on the right side. I also love those arrivals into city from the south when one turns by the Shard again on the right side. Something to say in favour of the landing into SYD and VCE on lucky days too!

A design from a different era, from front door to gate in a matter of yards. And if/when it closes, the chance is lost. Not sure if it still has the rooftop viewing gallery.

Plus you get to go to Berlin!
