Well the Ł100 point came from a group member shouting it across the lounge. As i said it was all quite indignifying to observe. Perhaps none of you realise it. A lounge is not a party bus. Perhaps you should have saved that for the main terminal area or restaurant. Let’s see how CX deal with it.
Disruption did not happen. You seem intent in painting this story of "ruined enjoyment". All you have to do is ask to join the party and the friendly FlyerTalkers will welcome you. I can confirm there were no hogging of seats, for my duration in the CX F lounge, people who had a seat were also not occupying dining room seats; in-fact some of us self-consolidated in the dining room so that big tables were not wasted on a single individual. A lounge is definitely not a party bus I agree 100% but a lounge is a lounge with access conferred by our OneWorld status. Perhaps you should have saved your sour attitude for the main terminal area or restaurant. I have emailed CX and let us see how they deal with it.

Empty bottles were soon replaced by the attentive staff, who actually were expressing their happiness over being able to serve more guests than usual.
I spoke to the lounge dragon on exit and she was interested in why there were so many in CX J and F and I explained the details to her and she was interested and amused at the same time. She also asked whether we all worked a normal job which made me smile. She and her fellow dragon did their job in making sure other pax in the lounge were happy (they proactively roamed the lounges in the morning).

Thank you to everyone who was there for an enjoyable FT Do! It was certainly an interesting one.

The potential difficulty I can see with LUX is the limited number of flights - one early morning and one around teatime.

Somewhere with more than one flight a day and a record of little turbulence would be great.

That sounds like a good use of time. There's some good TP run fares that appear to be as valid for Kahului as they are for Honolulu. OTP-PHX with a HEL shuffle still sounds a little brutal to me. 1-2 days beach/pool in Hawaii would do much to ease the decision.
Thx to all for your friendliness over the GIB weekend (mainly in lounges and planes for me rather than bars and restaurants). I had a great time. My legs are sore. Hope to meet many of you again in future.

Dare I suggest Malaga? Ticks all the boxes and probably little chance of having to land in Gibraltar instead!? :-D the Adventurous amongst us can route via MAD for more Tierpoints and the possibility of FLUB for two hours..... some GREAT places to eat and drink in the city.... and you can always find very cheap sherry!

Malaga is a great destination, dirt cheap if you time it right. I'm going again in late November.

But Kiev would be a great do. Reason? There's a fantastic aviation museum for the avgeeks, very hands on, full of old Russian airliners and cold war jets. And you don't need a visa for the Ukraine.

Also I believe there is decent food and booze.
