How much are you being offered out of interest?

£149 on the way back (and I'm sure the same on the way out but I did that a while ago)

I updated the POUG thread when I did it a few weeks back.

Took the £149 POUG on the outward. Was offered a full price upgrade on the way back for £168. Not sure whether to take it for the food as hopefully by then I won't need the TP.

True. And as long as the lounge is any good, no point in taking the upgrade. I daresay I'll probably be tired post-DO...!

Only 35 though. It's not a great equation especially for them as has already qualified for gold. Mind you it's fun to be in the front of a plane on a do.

So much for the joy I felt at coming home from HEL yesterday of not having any more flights booked in and out of the horror that is T3…
Go to Cathay Lounge for peace and quiet and good food.

That is the one thing that makes using T3 bearable. And, admittedly, that is a good thing. Which is probably why I am usually more annoyed at arriving into T3 than departing from there. :-)

So i predict a queue at 5.30am as we all try and get in before CX stop admitting non-CX passengers whilst citing "capacity constraints" .....

This is no doubt going to be a very British do, with plenty of it spent queuing as is appropriate!

I haven't posted for ages on FT but I'm still about. Myself and the missus haven't done an away FT Do! for a long time - nothing since MLA in fact, so many years ago!

As we have a weekend free and I needed an excuse to get out for a lodge meeting in Gib and to see family, we've booked up to go out on the 490 on 22/03 and back on the 491 Sunday. We'll be staying at the Eliott (which incidentally back in the '80s was a Holiday Inn!). We prefer to be in town as its closer to family (and the HIX is full). Hopefully the refurbishments will be completed by then as we were there in the summer and it was a bit hit and miss with A/C units leaking over the floors of the refurbished rooms.
