So the main event is just 10 weeks today. I have to say after the last London do last Summer I am looking forward to this and will actually know a few people.

Will there be enough of of us to guest into CX F on Saturday, looks like the 2nd flight is the busiest, what’s the protocol/etiquette do we sort it out amongst ourselves and hope for the best? This will be my first time at T3 since being Gold and First time since QF lounge opened so want to have a look at CX F QF J and AA F if possible.

@keanejohn it is certainly getting nearer. For PHX I tried to arrange guesting for those in CCR on the Friday. This was with significantly less people, but was still a logistical nightmare. Given who is going then I expect a large number of golds so should be sufficient guesting spots. However, I suggest a more adhoc and informal arrangement, but with nobody left outside. Subject to CX allowing us all in. Part of the advance planning will be in ensuring CX are aware of our plans. I think this is only fare, rather than turning up with no notice.

That makes sense even if only to make sure they have enough champers!

I don’t think there are 80 chairs in the CX first lounge so suspect capacity controls may come in to play!

True!

There are 18 on the earlier flight so assuming they depart on time they will be gone by 10am. Then there are 44 on the second flight.

Hi guys, if you're struggling for accommodation in the area maybe have a look at Oh!tels Campo de Gibraltar across the border in La Linea. It's a 4* hotel with decent enough rooms (nothing fancy) and nice views.. a basic double shouldn't set you back much more than £100 or so. Distance-wise it's as close if not slightly closer than the HIX, with the minor inconvenience of having to cross the border.

Wish you good luck with the weather that time of the year!

Hello all,

Only a couple of weeks left until the Gibraltar Do.

There are a few of us who are trying to organise things and figure things out. We will let you know soon about the planned arrangements, activities etc.

I will be printing off name badges for everyone for the main GIB do in March. Each badge will have your forum username printed and space for you to write in your first name and home location if you wish. Writing in your first name and location is completely optional... I could imagine that some people might not want their personal details publicly known but I for one would prefer to be known by my real world name (Snaxmuppet is a little embarrassing when shouted out in a bar!!!) but that is your choice

More details nearer the time on where/when to collect your badge but as I am arriving into GIB on the Friday and staying in the Holiday Inn Express I am sure this won't be an issue.

I will be using the list of attendees at the top of the wiki to do the print run so please can I ask that everyone who is going makes sure you are in that list. If you are not then you can add yourself in or post to the thread and I or someone else will add you in. Thanks.

9 weeks and counting!!!

I’m thinking of going to the micro do at the beginning of March. Just waiting a couple of days for an appointment to possibly appear. (If you don’t mind BA staff coming!) Am I correct in thinking that if I book in CE, but I’m only a Blue exec club member, that I would need guesting into the CX First lounge? Many thanks.

I'm sure those on the micro do will be happy to have you. Yes, you would need to be guessed into CX F lounge. Hopefully somebody could oblige.
