As long as we are within the EU, that's not an issue. After Brexit, anything is possible although you may have to thank the Irish for making it likely that the UK phyto-sanitary rules remain aligned to EU ones, so that the free movement of squash and other vegetables may survive.

A thread with a rather innocent U title has just turned into an X rated one.

Please post a trip report.

I know that it's possible to make an online M&S order and select the T5 arrivals store as a "click and collect" location. I've done this with clothing but never with groceries.

We've talked about tea bags, cheese ad wine gums. Why not butternut squash?

I'm sure I've seen a thread asking if stollen counts as a liquid or gel too

The UK and most of the EU allows small quantities (<2kg in the case of the UK) of almost any fruit, vegetables, and fish in good condition. Meat is permitted from the EU in most cases. There are some exceptions: for example potatoes are not allowed to the UK from Poland or into Germany from anywhere. There are no restrictions on butternut squash into Germany.

There is not a complete freedom to transport fruit, vegetables and meat within the EU.

Some example rules:
German: http://www.zoll.de/EN/Private-indivi...feed_node.html
UK: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/personal...roduct-imports
UK (Polish potatoes): http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2004/1452/made

Given its shape, I would not be surprised if the stag has it stuffed into his pants / trousers at some point...

I recall seeing a thread about carrying a lampshade as a piece of hand luggage through T5 security...

As someone always bringing fruit and veg back from many of my trips, I'm intrigued in the concept of people taking fruit and veg from home to their destination!

I can report that “Squashy” has made it through security successfully... ready to be deployed in Munich if appropriate!

It's a, slightly, phallic very large vegetable on a stag do. It stands little chance of being appropriate in any way shape or form. However we look forward to the report.

Now let us all bow our heads and take a moment to reflect on the life of 'Billy Butters' who tragically lost his life in Munich the weekend of 15th June 2018.
