Grrrrr, my pet peeeve, people saying runway when they mean no such thing. Those people are not on a runway.

Fire alarms seem to be relatively frequent at LCY, no? IIRC there was one ~ 6 months ago. |
This can be extremely bad news since once there are a lot of people on the apron/ramp - and that is the standard protocol at LCY - then the Border Force tends to want everyone to clear the UK Border and departing passengers to go through security a second time (with the liquids issues that arise). I don't know if it happened here, but it depends on whether arriving and departing passengers have ended up being mixed together.

It's probably the "ill advised paid upgrade to Club Europe" klaxon going off again. Big problem at LCY.

I was at LCY on Saturday afternoon they had a problem with the fire alarm test @ about 13:20 I think |

Yup, the ICAO calls it an apron, but I've never heard that used by any tower or ground controller in the US. |

The US, and while I have not flown in the UK or Europe, I have flow in the Americas and Africa. I still call it a ramp. :D
