Meantime [pop-up displays at LHR Galleries First lounges]

Not sure if this has been noted already, but in T3 GF there is a bit of a beer presentation by Meantime - where the bottles of water usually live (which have clearly gone off on one of their holidays up north again ). Anyway: this time are nicely arranged cans of Lager and Pale Ale and Yakima Red. I have to say - apart from a packet of crisps that I 'lifted' a few years ago, I did 'lift' a can of Yakima Red today (hopefully the lounge angels will take pittance on me) as I was in a rush and as part of the Meantime presentation there is a sheet of paper about instagramming a photo or something like that to social media - basically 'putting it out' on social media. So by noting it here on FlyerTalk, I can credit my conscious. Which under normal circumstances is kept in a shoe box under my bed.

Since the takeover of Meantime by SABMiller this has become quite a norm in well known establishments. Were SABMiller a supplier through someone else through to BA?

Meantime is now an Asahi brand after SAB divested pre-merger.

Heineken has the BA contract, although presumably there are some opt-out clauses given things like the Meantime promotion and St Austell onboard.

Finally some beer promotion in the lounges! It happens every so often, I enjoyed the Wimbledon Brewery offering around about this time last year.

Win-win for BA. The suppliers are paying for the privilege of being promoted and therefore people are consuming less of the things it costs BA to provide.

In my humble opinion I find Meantime to be a rather nice brew.

Couldn't agree more; hopefully it'll still be there when I'm there next!

Just to welcome you to Flyertalk and the BA forum rdo387, given that our Qatari colleagues are still formulating their welcome. It's good to see you here and I hope that your visit isn't too far off. They tend to be there for a month or so with these promotions, and I think we are about 2 weeks in. So cheers and what-not.

Meantime Brewery Trip

The Meantime Brewery Trip is pretty good. My only advice - don't drive. The trip is heavy on tasting, light on industry. Oh, Greenwich of course.

Can also highly recommend the Camden Town tour at Kentish Town!
