Stealth Premium Economy sale on?

Looking at NY in PE and seeing prices around 750 return, which looked very competitive so I compared with the December 2017 sale fares courtesy of British Airways Economy & Premium Economy Class Sale Fares 2018 | Continental Club Blog and they are virtually the same, but without any fan fare.

Also had a quick look at HKG & SYD and both showing some excellent fares circa 900 & 1800 respectively).

Is a sale announcement imminent or are BA just in a (relatively) generous mood at present?

There's a frequent stream of unmarketed promotional fares, so it may be neither. So while these fares may well count as "sale" fares by my usual definition (it's sometimes hard to tell because on some routes like HKG and SYD you can't easily see the full fare rules), there may never be any overt marketing of them.

I can see the full fare rules for the current cheapest WT+ fares to JNB, which say ticket by 18 April - in case that helps.

The 750 PE (or WTP) fares have been hanging around for sometime. As it's a route I watch carefully. Infact PE (WTP) fares haven't changed much in price since the Xmas sale. Some are still very good value like Muscat or Dubai.

It's quite possibly a reaction to the Delta/Virgin Atlantic PE sale to North America, which is really great value.

Noticed this last week on LAX. Upgrading the return LAX-LHR was costing only ~150 extra compared with economy.

That was my immediate reaction. BA launched its HBO fares last week, Virgin responded with some very low Economy fares to the usual suspects - NYC, BOS, LAX - BA seems to have been then price matching - or better - downwards. WTP and Premium Economy has followed in its wake. This isn't unusual, but it tends to start - and end - without much of a formal signal.

There's an ad on Facebook for a 24 hour BA sale, may be related to this?

I bought a surprisingly low WTP JFK-LHR deal yesterday, and on seeing this thread and the mention of a VS sale, I tried the same dates/times/route with them and they weren't even remotely in the same ballpark; about 50% more expensive than BA.
