Apr 17 2018: Security and computer niggles in T5

The security gates at First wing were declining to let various passengers through this morning, gate auto machine then didn't accept me, more unreconciled pax on board than normal, and captain on board reporting minor delay due to what sounded like terminal wide computer issues in reconciling bags and passengers.

Hopefully soon sorted but be aware if in a rush.

I'm guessing this had more impact than initially obvious. Plane quite a bit emptier than EF was showing last night, and bags currently being offloaded for pax that didn't make it through.

And downstairs there are hour plus waits for bags because there is a shortage of unloading teams. On a sunny Tuesday in April with no weather. Utter incompetent airline.

Interesting. There was definitely a couple of manual counts going on on my flight this morning but no delays. As I was going into F security there was also a gent who seemed to have been denied access. Hadnít connected these thoughts till now. My flight departed on time though.

Now arrived at EDI to be told that prior aircraft has damaged jetway so we're waiting steps.

Given how quite thread has been maybe just a series of unconnected events on a bad day for me...
