I would file a complaint with HAL if I were you. They've no right to snatch your passport.

Why bother filming with your phone at the border when you could watch it all on UK Border Force on Sky1? Behind the scenes and backroom interviews included!

Restrictions on filming and/or photographing are usually covered by airport byelaws. These tend to cover pretty much every situation, see here: https://www.heathrow.com/file_source...elaws_2014.pdf

The first part is arguable as you were filming Heathrow's property. But you are actually allowed to record the part that you had "interviewed" by HMRC (I guess) or any staffs in the airport. I am not sure the way he grabbed your arm to somewhere would be a proper approach. (given you were calm and sounded and in reasonable manner)

I'm a Global Entry member and there have been a few times when I've used Mobile Passport Control instead because the line was shorter. With more and more airports getting rid of the separate customs inspection line, GE advantage there is going away as well. I'm started to get annoyed about the $50 I spent for the GE fee, LOL.

Never had any trouble with CBP when I've had my phone out in the immigration area for MPC. If they really do have a ban on using phones in the immigration area (guess I should start reading the signs more carefully) I don't see how that could possibly work with MPC.
