BA766 (LHR-OSL) returning to London

I hope it lands safely, of course, but my first thought was, "anybody on board doing a B2B is going to be scuppered".

Fingers-crossed for all on board to get where they need to go today.

From Twitter, a good 10 minutes(?) ago.

The return OSL-LHR would be cancelled too. Whilst it can't be guaranteed, there are quite a few stories around where BA have changed the itinerary to start at LHR under circumstances where the first leg is cancelled on the day.

(Ignore this, it looks like it was just a glitch).

That flight (and airframe) is now showing as EDI-STN on this website.

Wow.. I was on this same flights just 24 hours ago. Luckily it did not happen yesterday as I had a separate ticket with KLM @ OSL to connect back to AMS. Most probably if it happened I would have asked BA to reroute me back to AMS.

On the GDS (via EF), BA766 ETD now 1730, ETA 2040; BA767 ETD 2130, ETA 2236.

I bet something will change again.

I guess this is a good example of why B2B's are recommended around these parts, as a less risky option than some alternatives.

I hope not, I'm on 766 tomorrow to get to OSL for my OSL-SYD. Have booked the Park Inn using radisson rewards points...

This one has attracted a short but thoroughly uninteresting (to this non-expert eye at least) report on avherald.com.
