Agree. A mention they tried to bribe you with wine. Close to an admission of guilt by the BA staff.
I was offered a bottle of sparkling wine, which I declined. I didn’t complain as I felt guilted out of it by the promotion thing.

Quite.
As the OP works for an Australian firm, he must know the national anthem by now.
I was down by Bondi pier - drinking tubes of ice cold beer
with a bucket full of prawns upon my knee
When I swallowed the last prawn - I had a Technicolor yawn
And I chundered in the old Pacific Sea
Drink it up Drink it up
Have another dozen tubes and prawns with me
If you want to throw your voice, mate - you'll have no bl...dy choice
Than to chunder in the old Pacific Sea

PLEASE COMPLAIN.
The morale of the entire crew comes from the top. If this guy is at 'the top' and leads by example I fear it will be a disaster.

The question has to be asked whether this guy is fit for a promotion at all.

Medical confidentiality prohibits me from saying anything one way or another, Suffice to say it took little effort.

Plenty of people have already highlighted important points on this thread.

i tried to imagine what I would do in that situation and I would definitely complain, I know I would have been livid at first but I think what would compel me to complain most would be that the CC in question would not face me after to apologise.

we all lose our cool sometimes; I have idea what else was going on in the J cabin, and I’m sure most on her would argue it doesn’t matter, but I think what defines people is their ability to admit it when they are wrong and be the bigger man, and that is what would frustrate me most about this situation and make me complain.

My feeling is judging by the personality the OP described this guy will likely have similar complaints on file. Usually in people management it's when a manager can establish a 'theme' that the person will finally be pulled up and put on a developmental program. I'm not sure how it works at BA, but the OP's complaint may be the tipping point where this guy will finally be pulled up.

OP please tell me you got this moron's name and reported him to BA?

Nothing less than immediate termination is acceptable here.

Sorry to hear you had that type of experience. Don’t let it put you off, this type of behaviour is very rare in my opinion, BA crews are generally very good.

I would certainly be raising a complaint regarding the crew member.
