Not LHR/BA related but EI (same airline group at least!)...

I have a friend trying to get from DUB-MAN, booked on the 1000 service which has just been cancelled. They're being told to leave the airport and come back tomorrow but she really needs to be back tonight if poss.

Is there any availability showing on the two evening flights? Any other 'creative' options she might have to get back to Manchester today?

Thanks in advance!

There are Ryanair flights to both MAN (x3) and LPL (x2) that might have availability.

If she books this will Aer Lingus refund / would Aer Lingus rebook onto this at DUB for her if she asks?

Just checked these on ryanair.com and all sold out!

Reporting from the Picadilly Line: due to a signal failure "in the Heathrow area" Picadilly Line trains are not stopping at either terminal 4 or terminal 5.

Advice from our train driver is that passengers for terminal 4 should disembark at Hatton cross and take a shuttle bus to terminal 4, and passengers for terminal 5 should change at terminal 1,2,3 and take a shuttle bus to terminal 5.

I am glad I decided to travel to the airport with a significantly increased safety margin .

would have thought get off at T123 and get the HEX to T5 or connector to T4 would be the best option. I don’t know of any shuttle bus?

Currently sat on a Finnair plane in Helsinki waiting to jet off to Heathrow. Captain has announced that due to LHR restrictions we're not allowed to push back until 2 hours later than our scheduled departure. I guess other short-haul non-BA flights are suffering similar restrictions. (I'd guess BA would have it better since they cancelled stuff, BICBW).

Not pleasant. Don’t forget to go online and fill in a TFL delay repay. The fare will be paid back to your bank account in a few days. Not a massive amount but we jump on EU261. There is a team of BA staff doing this endurance challenge in November to raise money for Flying Start and I’m committing all my rail delay repay for Jan-Mar to them. It’s mounting up quite nicely.

Safe travel everybody and hope you get to your destinations soon.

That's a lovely idea, I hadn't realised that for daily commuters in some places that this could be fruitful source of funding!

I see there's this "7" bus that seems to go from 1,2,3 for terminal 5 (and then onwards to sloug). I'm on it now.

The HEX is only running every half hour today, so this seems reasonable in comparison .

Either that or get off at Hatton Cross and get the 423/480/492 (free). All go to T5, the latter two via T4.

For Transport For London yes, And on the whole they aren’t bad but had lengthy delays/cancellations on Virgin East Coast, Southern and South West Rail. Ashley is a great ambassador for BA and a 747 Pilot and has a fantastic Instagram account [JumboJim747] though the team includ engineering and cabin crew, Any support Ftalkers could give would I’m sure be appreciated.

Question: Anyone have experience of anow-clearance at LCY? Due there at c. 0845 romorrow ex-JER (assuming I get away on the 0720 with BE).

Bit nervous due to lack of options. It’s a Hospital ticket with a pre-booked taxi waiting for me, and an appointment at 1620 in Cambridge!!

EDIT: in fact if you do go on that LHR flight you would arrive in BCN only 5 minutes later than you would have done from LGW. So no need to worry about compensation or getting yourself from LHR to LGW.
Thanks for letting me know about this flight, I got it rebooked to this one!

BUT: It is 4:15PM and I am still waiting for gate number. BA.com says it is on-time..... -.-

Iberia originally rebooked me for tomorrows flight at 6-something AM! I don´t understand that logic at all..

The inch or two that we had yesterday afternoon didn’t get worse and has mostly gone. I’m 2 miles from LCY. Average to moderate delays and the odd cancellation I’m guessing due to conditions at origin/destination. Given your airframe will originate in JER as long as it can get in tonight you should be ok. Travel safely Uncle T
