Ah, awesome! I’m in the T5B Lounge working now (had to fly in early, so I wouldn’t miss a conference call).
Just send me a PM where to meet you later.

Lunch in MAD before a hop to FRA on the Latam 787, so will be interesting to compare the two aircraft almost back to back.
Ive not done them back to back but I imagine you’ll note quite a difference as the suites and cabin will make the BA flight seem very closed off and ‘high’ for (seat) furniture heights, whereas the LATAM 787 is very open cabin and IIRC low furniture height but on the 787 you’ll be be sat next to a person and sharing a space so that can be amusing or challenging depending on inclination IMO. Colour schemes will be wildly different as well so looking forward to your comparison. ^

For those staying in MAD centre for a few hours or a night, the airport express bright yellow buses are excellent value at 5 € each way and take about 45 minutes. Leaves from bus stands in front of T4 (to the right after the last hotel bus. Luckily T4 is the first stop so full seat choice as it is standing room only after a few terminal stops before going into the city. I’ve taken a day rate room at the DoubleTree Madrid Prado to crash for a few hours then walk around the city centre before heading back to the airport and although the website only shows a 6 hour slot can be booked, they are happy to allow me to have the room until 7 or so. ^ Very friendly staff, small but nice clean rooms and great location. No pool though is only downside I can see! Really looking forward to tonight’s return on the 465 A350. I’ve stayed in 16K as the only one on the aft cabin, will be curious how that goes (if it fills up still and/or if service is affected as posted up thread. I couldn’t move to a bassinet seat even after check in opened so not sure why that was. (No-one in any of the 3 bassinet seats at T-23 hours.

safe travels everyone

No drink run before serving - it's all on one tray. I was in 10A on two flights and in both cases getting meal took almost an hour despite them starting from front and back. That was crew's first familiarisation flight on both legs (crew swap in MAD) so I don't blame them, but I can see service in Club World will be slow.

Or indeed in the lounge this morning, but no problem. In fact it was a long day and after landing I was pretty much ready to crash anyways. Flight was ok, I wrote a small report. Service was disappointing.

Normally yes. But based on my Club Suites flight, and others, it’s one main service with food + drink. Treated differently to the 777 flight for some reason as mentioned above. Maybe to practice the CW service? I agree with others above, was very slow service and started from front and back so Row 5/6 was last to be served both food and drinks on my flight.

@chistery @armouredant I’m standing next to the wine bar in the T5B lounge.
Silver Tumi backpack on top of a Rimowa rollaboard. Grey jacket, beige pants.

In CW it should be drinks first and then meal too, so I'm not sure.

True, however I don’t tend to form whole sentences until I’ve had a few strong coffees before 6 AM (I was onboard the 456 at 6)...Hopefully another time! Safe travels.

I’m in 10K, @armouredant is in 15A if I recall correctly. Just say hi if you’re on board.
