I have done my best to try and remove them with my head over the years, but It's a big fleet don't you know?!

Are the headphone sockets still in the armrest in Y? To be honest, this in singularly the most silly place to put them since they get whacked all the time - and from experience most don't work properly (need wriggling around or pushed to get any contact). Far better to put it near the screen (in Y that's the thing 6" from your face) - and surely would also save weight on all that wiring loom too.

Looking at the OP’s photographs it appears the headphone socket is below the screen, next to the USB port.

CX A350 with the small screen on the back are far more useful! Can have different things on either screen.

A bit O/T but group boarding was a laugh. At KIN the lounge passengers are escorted to the gate by staff. As we went along the 1/4 mile journey we heard group 1 & 2 being called, then 1,2,3,4 and then 1,2,3,4,5 so by the time all the group 1 / 2s got to the gate the plane was boarding 4/5s. There was a separate priority line for 1/2/3.
Being brisk walkers, I think we were in about the first 10 on board [having been SEQ 001/002 out of the Lounge!!]. I can only assume those who beat us were gate lice who had [possibly] left the lounge early!

There were a number of 'anomalies' including Seat 1H footstool going technical;
On boarding a 'yellow jacket' warned me that my footstool in 4B was very stiff and hard to deploy. In fact, there was no problem at all.

... my dividing screen needing to be lifted by hand to make it engage, the fact they hadn't loaded enough CW amenity kits so I got one and Mrs. Firstlight didn't.
Didn't use the divider, as I love my wife And we both got amenity kits (which we didn't bother to keep].

More unforgivable was the lack of hotel chocolat on Mrs. Firstlight's dinner service .
No chocolates in 4A/B either

...
My IFE reset a couple of times but possibly due to the APU starting up it was OK during the flight and the film selection was significantly better than the journey out. I didn't see anyone in CW with a faulty IFE.
As noted earlier, same in 4A, where OH had no sound. Eventually the Rep rebooted both our seats, after which 4A was fine.

I used the keyboard last year to message my better half in the seat in front of me, on a flight to Muscat.

I said hello and she responded with "I've found the keyboard" hahaha.

Were the hard-shells of CW replaced in their entirety? Or was it just a refit of seat covers and IFE? Did this also occur on the refurb super J 747s?

The hardshells are the new white & grey colour scheme rather than the awful beige (that looks more like faded white left in the sun), sadly the refurb 747s kept the beige shells but new IFE and covers.

The new seat won't be retrofitted to the LGW fleet.

And the rest of the soft parts of the seat were replaced as well. The CW area did look completely new, however I suspect they will need to do work on the mechanics (footstools/dividers) as these are wearing out.

Although there were fewer toilets there are also fewer CW passengers so did not notice a particular problem. The interior of the CW toilets (e.g. toilet seat / plastic fascia) also seem to have been updated to the new scheme.

"Didn't use the divider, as I love my wife "

So do I which is why we have the middle seats in CW traveling together, traveling for work on my own you will have to prise 4A / 4K out of my cold dead hands...

Not so easy if you want to go with BA to the Caribbean, of course! We regard it as a balancing factor for the pleasure at the far end of the journey!!
