I wonder whether it will be coupled with a new livery and corporate design - I'm already envisaging a variation of Iberia and Level called "British" (for nostalgia), mainly white with a red and blue box and the crest on the tail...
There is no new uniform for 2018 as per the OPs post.

But I think BA supply replacements to crew, and that has a cost I guess. What could happen I guess is BA invite great British brands / designers for the opportunity to partner in the design their new uniform. Some designer might even do it for free / in return for advertising.

Then, the new improved uniform could be rolled out as new crew join or individual pieces need replacing. It would match the approach to CW which may or may not have new bedding or different food or, soon, a new seat. Crew needs a new jacket, issue them the new BA M&S co-branded hoodie - no need to change the trousers until they need replacing.

Seriously though given the speed of CW improvements, I guess it will be a slow rollout.

It'll be interesting to see if they remain on the formal end, or if they will go more informal / 'modern British'!

I truly hope not. Burberry have done some amazing work repairing their brand and even now are investing more in taking their brand even more upmarket.

The last thing Burberry need is to be associated with a brand like British Airways.

I think Burberry's chav days are behind them. Globally known brand.

I had to look up the meaning of the word chav -- interesting photo to represent the meaning

REPORTS: British Airways Will Be Getting a New Uniform Next Year to Celebrate its 100th Anniversary

Note they say that some staff have 'suggested' that it could be (Burberry), not that it is definite... , not sure where Degsy328 had the info, maybe another source (which would be interesting if it corroborated the rumour) but I posted the above link in the A350 training flights thread a few days ago.

Safe travels.

One thing that's certain is the roll out will be nothing like as smooth as the last uniform change Cathay had when it was changed at midnight on the designated day and even crews in flight had new uniforms to change into for arrival.

BA will be mix and match for months if not years and while I think the current uniform is very smart I doubt the new one will compete on that score either.

The article above says ‘designed by’ not ‘made by’...

Personally I think the current uniform still looks great.
